Moolank: the birth number
Moolank is derived from the day of the month you were born on. It describes temperament — how you react, what you find easy, what you reach for first under pressure. People usually recognise their Moolank description quickly, because it describes the part of themselves they experience directly.
Bhagyank: the destiny number
Bhagyank is derived from the whole date of birth: day, month and year together. It describes the direction of the life rather than the personality inside it — the kind of situation that keeps recurring, and what those situations are asking you to develop.
Reading them together
When Moolank and Bhagyank are compatible, effort tends to go with the grain: what you naturally do is roughly what your circumstances reward. When they are not, life feels like it keeps asking for a quality you do not lead with. That is not a defect. It is usually the most useful thing a chart can tell you, because it names the specific stretch involved.
What these numbers are not
Moolank and Bhagyank are not affected by your phone number, and they are not the same as your Chaldean name numbers. Your Lo Shu Grid uses the same date of birth but answers a different question: which numbers are concentrated and which are missing.
